Description:
This is a nice pair of Sako collectable rifles in an exeptionally rare configuration. You might find a model L57, but to find a model 579 in 244 would be a rarity. There were very few Sako rifles chambered in 244 in the first place and finding a couple like this would be practically impossible. The 244 was only available as a factory chambering a brief time before they were pulled from the market due to rifling twist being slower than that of the Winchester 243. The twist was changed and later renamed the 6mm Remington. The model L579 fell into a very small production cycle before they discontinued that model. They are both in very high condition. They do have a few handling marks from the years of storage, both showing little sign of ever being fired. I doubt there are many people that realize how nice it would to be to have this pair. There may be a couple model 57 rifles available, but certainly not the model 579...$3400.00 for the pair.
