Action Type: Semi Auto, Detachable Magazine
Markings: The top of the receiver is marked “U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M1” on the front and “INLAND DIV. /6387651 ” on the rear. The top of the barrel is marked “INLAND MFD. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS / 11 - 44” and “P”. The magazine release is marked “M” which is an Inland mark. Included and Inland marked magazine.
Barrel Length: Approximately 18 Inches
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post set between two protective wings. The rear sight is a fully adjustable Type II aperture assembly.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock has a pistol grip, Type III barrel band with sling loop & bayonet lug, sling well, sling pass through, and a metal buttplate. The wood of the top fore stock has been replaced, probably when re-arsenaled and is discolored from the rest of the stock. The LOP measures 13 ¼ inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good Plus to Fine overall condition.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright; semi bright near the muzzle. The rifling is crisp.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus to Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
