Here we have a Model 1949 (also known as the FN-49 or SAFN) manufactured by Fabrique Nationale Herstal for Egypt, and chambered in 8mm Mauser. The gun has wear commensurate with most Egyptian military surplus, but seems to be in mechanically serviceable condition. Overall, a decent example of these classic battle rifles. 7.92x57mm
