Manufactured from 1961-1985, the Ruger 44 Carbine was originally marketed as the “Deerstalker” and popular amongst Whitetail hunters. The American walnut stock features classic lines that gently flow towards a blued barrel and receiver, providing a nice contrast. A 4-round tubular magazine is located underneath the barrel. The receiver has been drilled and tapped for easy scope mounting. Ruger has entrenched itself in the number 2 spot amongst national rifle manufacturers, a success which can largely be attributed to the popularity of the 44 Carbine some 50 years ago.
