ENGRAVED .380 Self Defense Pocket Pistol!
Here we present an engraved antique Belgian Double Barrel Pocket Pistol, made circa 1893. This pistol is Liege Proofed for the late-1800s. This would have likely been intended as a self-defense gun. In a day when the single shot pistol was popular, this side by side pistol would have been a very handy self-defense weapon to have around, having two shots to fire off instead of one! This little self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy cities of London, Liege or Paris during the tumultuous times of the late-1800s. These type pistols are small, light and simple.
The overall condition is near fine. Strong action (hammers/triggers), though the ejector does not function. The bore is bright and reflective throughout with sharp, deep-groove rifling. Original bright nickel finish with engravings on the frame. The ebony grip is solid at the frame with nice checkering and little dot accents in the middle of each diamond.
