A factory letter and copies of the original sales invoices are included with this fabulous .44 Magnum confirming the rare configuration and detailing its shipment on March 2, 1961 to J L Galef & Sons in New York, New York. The gun comes in the original mahogany clamshell display case. Built on the four screw frame the gun is equipped with a 6 1/2” barrel, original nickel finish and checkered Goncalo Alves diamond target stocks AKA ‘Cokes’.
Knowledgable collectors are aware of the rarity of early nickel 44 Magnums, especially those in high condition such as this! The gun retains 99% of the original nickel finish which is bright and clear showing only the faintest collector type handling evidence.
