Description:
The "Peoples Republic of China" started to copy the US M-1 30 cal. carbine after WW11,This rifle was manufactured at the Mukden Arsenal in Manchuria.in 1949 after the chinese revolution with the Chinese Nationalest. This is a early version, with a date code of 12/1949, and serial number of 00036, there were only several hundred made between 1949 & 1950. The stock looks likem it was hand carved from the same wood as a Japanese rifle, and the receiver & barrel looks to be mfg. by the arsena with the emblem stamped on the top of the receiver, the barrel is un marked. Most of the other parts are US GI, and some chinese mfg. There are no inport marks, a small quanit of these rifles entered the country durning the Nixon adminestration,
