Description:
This Christoph Funk Over/Under Shotgun (12 Ga. — 2 3/4") has a set of 30.5" barrels with fixed "Improved Modified" chokes. It is believed this gun was built on a Merkel 200 action specifically for "Baker & Kimball" in Boston sometime in the 30s or 40s. The bluing is in great shape for its age and does show a small amount of wear on the rib and on the barrels at the muzzle. The receiver has intricate scroll work engraving. The stocks have a nice grain to them and are also in great shape with only a light dings and scratches visible as well as some light wear in the finish. Christoph Funk was known for making extremely high quality firearms from before 1900 until around 1940 in Suhl, Germany. This firearm is currently NOT fully functional and would be a great project for gunsmith or someone with good mechanical ability: • This firearm is being sold "AS IS" and "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" • If you have ANY questions, please ask! There are three known issues with this shotgun: • It will not fire with trigger selector set for top barrel; • The bottom barrel ejector is not working; and • The firing pins are giving light strikes. 12 Gauge
