Description:
This is a nice EW Bern of Switzerland Model K1911 bolt action carbine rifle in 7.5 X 55MM Swiss. This Model of EW Bern is often called a Schmidt-Rubin after the rifle designer and the cartridge designer. This K1911 could almost be considered pristine for its age, as the Model K1911 was replaced and discontinued in 1933. The blued barrel and receiver frame are good, with blue fading and missing in some areas. The blued 23.3" barrel is very good with sharp clear rifling in its bore. The factory blue curved single stage trigger is smooth and light on release. The factory smooth medium dark walnut stock is good, with the expected dents and dings of a WWI rifle, but less than usual. Own this piece of history today.
