Gentlemen, for sale is a SKB 585 Field Set. Both 20 & 28 gauges, 2 sets of bbls and forearms.
Absolutely gorgeous in every way. I don’t see any marks on the wood or bluing probably 99%+. The gun was made in 1998 in Japan. Specifications are as follows: 2 sets of of 28 inch barrels and forearms one 20 gauge and one 28 gauge, all the barrels have choke tubes, currently each set of barrels are choked imp cyl and skeet, gold trigger, auto ejectors, select trigger, beautiful silver receiver with gold embossed duck and pheasant, and 14 ¾” LOP. The 20 gauge set of barrels have not been shot and the 28 gauge barrels have 1 box of shells shot through them. The weight of the gun is only 6 lbs 9ozs. it would be a great piece to carry in the field all day. The 20/28 gauges are great little cartridges that can be used quail, upland bird, or skeet shooting. The only unoriginal piece of this gun is the butt plate. The previous owner put on a kick ease pad which makes the LOP longer then regulation. The good news is the wood does not appear to be cut. So you can shoot the gun the way it is or quite inexpensively change the butt plate to something more traditional. This weapon is a great shooter or collector’s piece.
