Mauser 1914/40 7.65mm Standard model 1st variation 95% overall. 1934 style (curved) wood grip, E/N Proofs. Salt blue finish, Mauser Werke address, fat banner sideplate and CAL 7.65 with half height patent RH slide marking. Slide SN in milled slot. This is one of the so called "Commercials", which were the fewest made and while not usage marked, many of these were militarily used having been obtained through private purchase. This is an early E/N Proof instead of the C/U Proof. Hard to find. 95% instead of 99% due to light pitting on end of slide, both sides and rear of slide left side. Basic variation SN range 576630-629000. Correct mag. SN 577404
