This is a beautiful all-original 1978-production Smith & Wesson Model 63 .22 caliber stainless steel revolver complete with the original box, owner's manual, warranty card, assorted paperwork, tool/cleaning kit, and even the anti-rust shipping paper. This 4" inch S&W Kit Gun is in excellent condition overall, and has the sought-after pinned barrel. This Smith is very lightly-used and has been very well cared for. The stainless steel is still bright and clean, rating 98% with the only deductions for some very minor handling/storage marks and an extremely faint drag-line around the cylinder. The bore in the 4" inch barrel is mirror-bright and pristine, with perfect, sharp rifling and no visible imperfections. The six chambers of the fluted cylinder are equally as clean and free from any damage. All of the factory markings are crisp and clean, and both the face of the cylinder and the rear star are in excellent shape. The original factory grips on this Model 63 are also in like-new condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or visible wear. The checkering is still crisp and clean on both sides, and both S&W medallions are in excellent shape. These original grips are perfectly fit to the grip frame and the reverse of the right grip is numbered to the gun as it should be. The action on this Model 63 is smooth, slick, and precise. It is in perfect time no matter how it is operated, single or double action, fast or slow. All of the controls on this revolver are crisp and in perfect working order. This Model 63 should function 100% like the day it left the factory 43 years ago. As mentioned before, this S&W is as complete as it can possibly be with everything it shipped from the factory with. The original factory end-label is still in-place, serial-numbered to this gun, and in great shape. If you have been looking for a "collector grade" S&W Model 63 Kit Gun here is your chance to get one of the better examples we have had in some time.
