This is a complete kit to convert a standard K 98 Mauser rifle to a 22 Long Rifle practice rifle. The conversion kit's serial number is 2405. It was made at the arsenal at Erfurt. It is most commonly known as Erma- Erfurt Royal Military Arsenal. The barrel and breech assembly are all matched numbers including the bolt. The floor plate assembly has a close mismatched serial number. The bolt has been relief cut to clear a sniper scope. The two original magazines are dated 1938. The breech assembly is fully adjustable to lock up the lugs snugly into the rifle chamber. This is a fully functional conversion kit that you can have fun shooting your military K 98 rifle. The bore is in very fine condition. The barrel and breech assembly have all of the correct Waffenamt Stick Eagle 77 code. The original bluing is in very fine condition showing very little loss or wear. The wood box is in very fine condition with no damage or cracks. The box end has the Erma stamp and Stick Eagle 280 code. The latches are original to the box. This is a hard to find original training accessory for the Mauser K 98 series of Military rifles. To find a complete kit is a real find!
