COLT NIMSCHKE ENGRAVED TIFFANY GRIP MODEL 1862 POCKET NAVY CONVERSION REVOLVER. .38 rimfire cal. all matching and original. Spectacular with gold plated hammer, cylinder, trigger guard, ejector rod head and Eagle Tiffany grips. Nickel plated frame, barrel and ejector rod housing. Deeply cut floral New York scroll engraving with numerous features of the work of Louis Nimschke. Even has a scroll engraved “COLT'S PATENT” on the frame indicating it was done on special order for the Colt Factory. Superb Tiffany grips that are absolutely genuine. Only a handful of original examples known. Fine overall and one of the rarest Colt’s we have offered for sale. Very old collection provenance.
