PRISTINE COLT U.S. 1917, CAL. 45 ACP, SER. 285260. MFG. 1918. THIS "TRUNK QUEEN" LOOKS AS IF IT WAS NEVER ISSUED. IT HAS RETAINED ABOUT 96+%. OF THE ORIGINAL LATE WAR FINISH. THE LITTLE LOSS IT HAS IS FROM SOME SLIGHT SHARP EDGE SILVERING, A TINY CYLINDER SCRATCH, A COUPLE SMALL PATCHES OF FADING AND PIN PRICKS. ALL PARTS MATCH AND THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FRAME HAS THE PROPER UPTURNRED EAGLE AND INSPECTORS. THE GRIPS HAVE RETAINED ABOUT 98% OF THE ORIGINAL LACQUER THE RIGHT ONE HAS A COUPLE OF SMALL DINGS. THE GRIP SCREW IS PERFECT. THE FORCE CONE, CYLINDER FACE AND RECOIL SHIELD SHOW LITTLE IF ANY USE. THE BORE IS IS PRISTINE LIKE THE REST OF THE GUN, SUNSHINE BRIGHT WITH RAZOR SHARP RIFLING, NOT A TOUCH OF FROST ANYWHERE. IT'S REALLY GREAT FIND FOR EVEN THE MOST CRITICAL COLLECTOR/INVESTOR.
