Outstanding Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1952 sporting rifle in ever popular .270 caliber. This is one of the nicest examples I have seen of this model, with the added advantage of having never been drilled for scope use, as are nearly all others that you will see. Beautiful piece of walnut with some nice figure and superb checkering. Overall condition is remarkable for a nearly 70 year old rifle, showing strong original finishes troughout with only minor handling marks. Mechanics are butter smooth and precise as always, with a minty bore. Surely among the very few finest quality and classiest sporting rifles ever conceived and a true marvel of workmanship.
