Flintlock pistol converted to percussion. Lock is marked Lane & Read Boston. The barrel is marked US over JH. We assume this barrel, from a US martial pistol, was married to the stock and lock during the period of use. To top it off the grip has the sharp angle that is French Empire style. The hammer holds half and full cock perfectly. Barrel is 8.5"" and overall length is 14"". Butt cap and trigger guard are brass. The nipple is a later addition. A reasonably priced percussion pistol.
