SOLD. Free Shipping. Rarest of the early Savage rifles. 1899 Savage Deluxe Takedown in 250-3000 made in 1916. Note the important feature of the 250-3000 rifle is the distinctive fine cross-checked trigger shown in pic 13. This style trigger is not found in any other version of the 1899 or 99. The perch belly buttstock looks very good. Lyman peep. The 250-3000 was developed by Charles Newton to exceed 3000fps using the 87 grain Spitzer point bullet. Judge the condition for yourself. It has the Savage logo on the buttplate. It has a small split in the forend as shown in pic 4, and a split by the upper tang shown in pic 12. Offers and trades accepted.
