SOLD SOLD SOLD, "ONE OF A KIND" Winchester Mod. 1894. Ser#15147, manufactured Feb. 3 1896 in 38-55 cal. with the following special features; 28" , "EXTRA HEAVY" octagon barrel, plain pistol grip stockw/ Swiss butt plate and cheek piece, Casecolored. The gun was fully restored by Doug Turnbull Restorations a number of years ago, mainly because it is such a special Winchester, being the only one they made like it. The gun is spotless. The gun is discussed in Bob Renneberg's book on the Mod. 1894 on page 233 and an article in the Fall 2017 edition of the Winchester Collector Magazine, "World's most interesting 1894". Documentation includes a copy of the Winchester Firearms factory letter, a copy of the original factory ledger entry, and a page from the Armax study on 1894's, showing it being the only one made.I would say that's pretty rare considering over 8,000,000 mod. '94s were manufactured. This is a rare opportunity to own a unique piece of Winchester history. $45,000.00 U.S. I would entertain interesting antique Winchester or Percussion Colt trades, especially a Win. mod.,'86 or '94 musket.
