This Colt was produced in 1906. The pistol's serial number is 10165. The factory letter states that this pistol was sent to the Sutcliffe Co. In Louisville Kentucky on January 5th 1907 with 10 other guns. This pistol has the 4 inch barrel with a minty bore. The pistol is chambered for the 38 New Police cartridge. The 38 New Police is the same as the 38 Smith & Wesson cartridge. The only real difference is the bullet style and weight. The chambers are also in minty condition. This Colt shows little sign of ever being fired. The hard rubber grips are serial numbered to this Colt. These grips are in new condition. The high polish finish has the charcoal bluing. The blue finish would rate a 98% or better. The nitre blued parts would also rate a 98% finish. The hammer has the old style checkered thumb spur with the new style floating firing pin. The action is in perfect time and locks up tight. This Colt is in very fine almost new condition with vivid nitre blued parts. This pistol is a fine representation of the early small frame Colts that were so popular years ago. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
