Description:
Serial #171074, .38 Special, 4 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is a Colt model Police Positive Special manufactured in 1919. The gun is in excellent condition with about 94-95% of the original blue finish on the barrel, frame and cylinder that has thinned to silver gray around the muzzle and on high edges of the cylinder with scattered light freckles. The grip strap has two small, shallow dings about half way down and light scratches on bottom. The original Colt hard rubber grips are about excellent with very light use marks on the bottom. The lock up is tight and functions properly. An excellent police positive that would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
