Description:
Spreewerk P-38 (CYQ code, made in the occupied Czech Republic). This P-38 was made in April 1944. These guns (known as “last ditch”) were roughly finished as volume of production took precedence over appearance. It's been used, and therefore proven to work, but as a general rule it's not a good idea to trust a gun, made by slave labor, in a hurry, by the losing side during the latter part of a war.
All numbers of the pistol match, the magazine is original (E88 code), as is the holster (WaA706 & Jwa 4). The holster has the tip cut out of it for some reason, probably due to damage from the front sight. Bluing is ~94% (which is very good for these pistols), with most wear on the muzzle & leading edges of the slide. Forestrap finish is thin, but not bare. This outfit, being an original set, certainly will not decrease in value.
