40 inch barrel 55 inches oa gun looks to have been reblued , ;;grip cracked and repaired , bore fine locks up tight marked davenport on left receiver and pat dates on right latest is 1902 ;;;;; large and heavy c&r ok metal in vg condition steel barrel action works fine;; great conversation piece;;; savage model 220 shown for comparison;;; extractor and spring operated firing pin forend has the screw hold on device ;;;;;; if i were to go duck hinting i would use a new temporary stock;; looks like original butt plate probably an old market hunter wonded duck gun??????????
