As shown in the pictures, this gun retains substantial original case color. The 28” Vulcan Steel barrels are choked Improved Light Modified (.012) and Modified (.018). The gun, which is on a number 1 frame, weighs 6 lbs. 7 oz. The barrels have no pitting, dents, or scratches, and the bores are bright. The wall thickness (top/side/bottom) for the right barrel at 9” from muzzle is 026/.025/.023 and at the middle of the barrel is .028/.028/.026; the left barrel is .029/.028/.025 and .032/.032/.029, respectively. Bores 9” from the breech are both .665 inches. Chambers are 2-5/8 inch. Length of pull is 14-1/4 inches. The drop at the comb is 1-1/2 inches and at the heel 2-1/2 inches. The stock is reconditioned by removing the oil finish, drawing out accumulated petroleum-based oils, and restoring the natural oils through the application of a hand-rubbed stock-oil finish. The wood is in excellent condition, both the exterior and the interior of the stock head. The gun locks up tight and on face. All serial numbers, 207355, match. The listed price of the gun does not include shipping costs paid by buyer. The inspection period is 7 days from receipt. This shotgun has been fired on a numerous of occasions. However, as for any vintage shotgun almost a hundred years old, it is recommended that the new owner have it inspected by his or her gunsmith before firing. The gun carries a 30-day warranty during which seller will have any mechanical problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun and the return shipping cost.
