Description:
This is a beautiful custom sporter built by Fred and Rachel Wells of Prescot, Arizona in 1990. It is patterned after the Sauer rifles of 1910-1920. Caliber is 6.5x57. The stock is a beautiful French walnut with European accents such as the forend escutcheon, a steel grip cap, and front Schnabel. Stock work was done by Robert Sweda a master stock craftsman. The action was stippled and "French Greyed" by Rachel, a renowned engraver. Mr. Wells chambered the barrel, installed the barrel and the front barrel band hooded front sight and the rear V-notch sight. The action is a Radom Mauser with a Timney trigger. The rifle was fired four times by a gunsmith to sight it in at 100 yards. Additional custom work has been done: NECG detachable swivels and braded sling, Tubb Precision Speed Lock, and Dakota Arms M70-style Bolt Shroud with Safety. The sale includes: Leupold VXIII 3.5x10 scope, Hornady die set, and two boxes of Prvi Partisan ammo.
