Description:
SOLD A very clean Remington No. 4 octagonal barrel with a serial #61827, 22 RF, 22 1/2'' octagon barrel with a very good bore with scattered light pitting. The barrel is mostly blue, turning to brown patina with remnants of original blue, light wear on the high edges, and a few light handling marks, and the frame has a gray patina with overall light oxidation staining, old light oxidation on the triggerguard, and a light handling mark or two. The walnut stock and forend are in very good condition as lightly cleaned with an about 1'' light crack on the left side of the wrist, but closed and hardly noticable, and scattered light handling marks. The ''REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y.'' barrel address remains crisp, and the serial number and caliber marking on the underside of the barrel remain clear. The rifle is sighted with a bead-on-blade front sight and a Redfield sporting-style semi-buckhorn rear sight. The rifle appears to function well mechanically. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
