Description:
Twenty six inch stainless steel barrel. Round and straight with no taper. Measuring 1.275 inches across. Barrel was setup on a Perigrine action. The stub is 1.10 inchs long and 1 inch wide. It has been drilled and tapped for scope bases and a front sight. Crown is recessed as noted in the pictures. It is chambered for a 44 magnum case necked down to 38 caliber for benchrest. It could therefore be easily rechambered to 38-55 or whatever. Apparently the chambered cartridge did not prove to be overly accurate and the barrel has been shot very little. There are no cuts on the barrel for sights or springs, only the aforementioned screw holes. The twist rate is not known to me, but was intended for 300+ grain bullets.
