Description:
Made by Miroku of Japan and imported in the 1960's; this fine pistol has a U.S. and eagle on the lockplate, and it functions very well. This is a copy of the 1805 Hapers Ferry flintlock pistol ,The 10" round smooth bore barrel chambers the .52 cal. ball, and the bore is clean with a couple small patches of recent corrosion that shoild clean-up with a stainless steel brush. The barrel is full blue and the lock is color case hardened. I'm replacing the ram-rod as the tip is missing on the present one. The maple hardwood stock is good with some handling wear. And the brass furniture has some age staining. Would make a good shooter. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
