"U.S. Springfield 1892 Krag with 1896 Improvements. Receiver is marked “1896" and serial number 2798. Receiver has been cleaned and is a light gray patina. Stock is great with faint 1895 cartouche. Cleaning rod channel has been filled in. Bore is good with strong rifling. Overall a great early Krag rifle.
