Sold...Peter...A nice antique Kentucky Schuetzen rifle, made in the 1850's. This would be a target rifle with the weight of 14 lbs. The barrels measures approx. 30 inches with a false muzzle measuring 1 5/8 inches of 40 caliber. The rifle barrel rifling is excellent and should be a excellent shooter. Nice original patchbox with a nipple wrench. No name on the barrel or action. The rifle in superb condition...the barrel and the stock...no repairs and no cracks. The Kentucky rifle came out of a Northern Virginia estate. The trigger lock has 2 small repairs and it solid. The rifle has a 1880's long range sight attached and a nice globe front sight. There is some nice engraving on the action and really nice ridged swells between the octagon and round parts of the barrel. The barrels measures 1.4 inches on the round part and 1.63 inches on the octagon part. Shipping is 70.00
