SUPERIOR CIVIL WAR BRIDESBURG U.S. MODEL 1861 RIFLE MUSKET DATED 1863. .58 cal. 40” barrel. Extra nice condition and 100% original. Lock stamped “EAGLE/U.S./BRIDESBURG” and dated 1863. Very crisp metal with the original patinated brushed metal finish. Very nice stock with the original finish and two very fine inspector’s cartouches but has three dents at the underside near the rear band. Is still far above the usual for a Bridesburg. Nipple and rear sight with all the blue and extra nice screws. Original swivels and ramrod. Excellent bore with sharp rifling. Perfect working order. Extra nice and early example.
