Description:
Colt Black Army finished 1911 pistol made in 1918. This is a dull finish put on guns to speed production and get them into the field ASAP. The pistol is a 45 ACP and has all the proper markings PLUS the United States Property stamp has been struck twice. The first one was a bit light so the operator must have hit it again. This gun is in very good condition for over 100 years old but does not have the original barrel and magazine. The barrel is marked 45 AUTO 7791193 which is a military contract replacement barrel and the magazine is a Colt but not WWI issue.
