On hold. Sale Pending Civil war contract musket by Wm. Muir &co.. full length barrel with front and rear sights and a dark brown patina and some pitting near the breach. The full length 3 band stock is good with one cartouche and numerous dents and dings a chip under the lock and burnout behind the nipple. The US marked but plate, trigger guard barrel band and ram rod are a dark brown patina. The bore appears to be about 62 caliber. The lock is marked Wm Muir & Co., Windsor Locks Ct.1863 and functions at full cock. Both sling swivels and ramrod are present but the ramrod has been shortened.
