The full length 3 band dark Walnut stock is in very good condition with a unit or inventory number on the left side. The full length barrel has both correct rear and front sights. The lock functions fine at full and half cock. All metal parts have a light brown patina. Overall very good condition with a very good bore and functions fine. The 1866 Springfield also known as the second Allen was the first 50 70 army rifle used at the Hay Field and Wagon box battles and the early Indian wars.
