079-0421-7607, Colt Woodsman Target Model. #113xxx-S manufactured in 1952. Model with 6-inch barrel. The Colt Woodsman is credited as the first successful rimfire .22-caliber semi-automatic pistol. The Woodsman enjoys a rich history as a true American icon. Designed by John Moses Browning, the design was sold to Colt who produced it from 1915 to 1977. This was one of the long line of patents John Browning designed for firearms makers. This gun comes with a special clip that is supposed to increase the value. The gun is in excellent plus condition, with a few tiny marks on grips and almost no scratches on the metal. 98% blue and excellent plus grips. Bright excellent bore. I was told this gun would retail around 1150 dollars. Unlike so many others here I try to leave some room for my buyers.
