Description:
Colt Officers Model Target .38spl revolver. This revolver's frame is dated to 1920, however the Heavy Barrel was not introduced until 1935, and the last patent date puts the gun in the 3rd Issue range. The frame was likely manufactured in 1920 and then used later to build this particular revolver, presumably after 1935. The revolver features the aforementioned Heavy Barrel, with adjustable target sights, a rich blued finish and non-matching but correct checkered grip panels. The revolver is in really excellent condition for its age, with only very small areas of wear on the sharp corners and contact areas. The bore and chamber surfaces are brilliant, and the timing and lockup is solid under normal operation. The single action timing is very slight off when cocked very slowly.
