Description:
Saginaw (Grand Rapids) manufactured M1 Carbine that was manufactured in either late 1943 or 1944. After World War 2 ended this carbine was arsenal rebuilt. Modifications / updates include the rebuilt stock that has the IR-IP proof and the flaming bomb proof in the sling well. There's a Underwood rework proof on the other side of the stock. The trigger group is marked "SG" as is the trigger. The bolt is an Inland. The rear sight was manufactured by International Register Company. The date on the Underwood proofed barrel is 9-43 and has a good bore. There is a small import mark on the bottom of the barrel. The slide was manufactured by Saginaw Michigan. All of the controls function as if this rifle was new. If you're looking for a nice M1 Carbine for your collection or just want a great shooter, this would be a perfect choice.
