Description:
Boxlock extractor 12 gauge game gun by Alfred Davis of London. Built in the late 1920s,this gun has 28" barrels choked skeet (.004") and full (.035"). The gun is proofed for 11/8 oz. 21/2" shells,but the chambers actoually measure 25/8". I have fired 23/4" 1 oz loads through the gun with no problems. The receiver retains 40% of the original case colors,95% of the original barrel blue,and 98% of the original wood finish. The stock has excellent dimensions of 14"LOP over a checkered butt,11/2" at comb,and 21/4" at heel. The gun comes cased in the makers original case with a reproduction copy of the Alfred Davis catalog from the 1920s. A great upland bird gun and a great value in an English game gun. C&R eligible.
