Built in the late 1920s,this gun has 28" barrels choked skeet (.004") and full (.035"). The gun is proofed for 11/8 oz. 21/2" shells,but the chambers actoually measure 25/8". I have fired 23/4" 1 oz loads through the gun with no problems. The receiver retains 40% of the original case colors,95% of the original barrel blue,and 98% of the original wood finish. The stock has excellent dimensions of 14"LOP over a checkered butt,11/2" at comb,and 21/4" at heel. The gun comes cased in the makers original case with a reproduction copy of the Alfred Davis catalog from the 1920s. A great upland bird gun and a great value in an English game gun. C&R eligible.
