#270363, A Winston Elrod 280 Remington Full Custom on a Pre-64 Model 70 Action, 22" Krieger barrel and it is accurate, It is installed to an original Pre-64 Model 70 action that was made in 1953, Clean barrel without open sights, 1" Talley bases and rings, Leupold 2 x 7 with their Duplex reticle, Model 70 wing safety, Model 70 trigger, Blackburn style Straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, Built up and checkered bolt stop release, 2 panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, A very nice Elrod custom pure classic style stock with a nice piece of wood, Wrap around Fleur-De-Lis checkering that is very well done, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, Two screw Biesen checkered steel grip cap, Sling eyes on the stock, Excellent internal inletting, 13 13/16" LOP over a Biesen checkered steel buttplate, 8 lbs. 6 oz. with the Leupold, The bore is excellent plus, The overall blue on all the metal remains at 98%, The stock finish at 96%, The checkering is at 100%, This 280 will shoot .800" groups at 100 yards using factory Remington 150 grain Core-Lokt cartridges. This Piece has nice workmanship along with classic style, built tough, nice metal work and in the Gunsmith's rifle cartridge. This is flat out a particularly good value at this price.
