Description:
1940 german army production with the "42" toggle marking for Mauser. All matching except the fxo mag, and I mean all the parts that should be numered ARE numbered to the gun. The grips are numbeed to the gun, but I'm not certain they should be in this time frame... The bore is good with strong lands and grooves. The grips strips are very nice and have not gotten that grey patina we see so oftern..
There are some pinpricks from rust on the left frame raiil, but it is not objectionalble.
I have added some views of the reverse side of the grips. A hairlie crack at the top of the right panel has been expertly repaired at some time in the past. Very sound and not visible externally.
This is a solid Luger for a fair price.
