Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
The BFR is one of the strongest and most powerful single-action revolvers made today. The acronym “BFR” stands for “Biggest Finest Revolver” though many tend to reinterpret what the letter “F” stands for. The revolver borrows its design from the famous Colt Peacemaker and essentially features buffed up dimensions and stainless steel construction for greater strength. This example is the long cylinder model, chambered for the legendary .45-70 Gov’t, originally invented in 1873 for use in the Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle. The BFR uses an unfluted 5-shot cylinder for reasons of strength. The pistol is in excellent condition with some minor wear. Although the Magnum Research states the BFR is available with a 7.5” or 10” barrel, this pistol definitely has a longer 11-5/8” barrel, and so could be custom shop pistol. The left rear corner of the front sight base has been worn down slightly. The cylinder has an ever so light turn ring and some minor scratch marks. The front face of the ejector rod housing has a couple of miniscule nicks in the edge. The barrel exhibits light finish marks. The bore is in excellent condition with no rust or pitting, but does have some minor lead fowling. In contrast, the cylinder face has very little in the way of powder burns so it has not been fired much. Sadly, there is no box.
