This Single Action Revolver is a Herters 401 Power Magnum with a 6 1/2 inch barrel. These revolvers were made by J P Sauer and Sohn in West Germany for Herters. The revolver is in good to fine condition with an excellent bore and cylinder chambers. One grip panel has a slight crack and some edge wear, The revolver locks up tight and would be a good shooter. There is a lot of information about these revolvers out on the Internet. The ballistics are comparable to a 41 Magnum. Serial Number V253X. This listing includesTwo boxes of new brass, two boxes of once fired brass and a set of Herters Dies. Per the internet, the Herters Power Magnum Revolver was developed in 1961 and was probably available in 357, 401 and 44 magnum for a number of years while Herters was in business.
