ORNATE OTTOMAN TURKISH SILVER MOUNTED FLINTLOCK CHIEFTAN’S PISTOL CIRCA LATE 1700’S. 19” overall with 12” part octagon/round barrel engraved at the breech and having a “Minaret” form Turkish gold maker’s intaglio cartouche on the top flat bearing the maker’s name. Ornately engraved lock with all the original parts. Walnut stock with ornate carving and silver wire inlay on the forend and grip respectively. Repousse floral decorated barrel capucine/ramrod and breech panels. Ornate nickel silver butt cap with “Minaret” boss. Avery nice all original, good quality example with excellent original patina and no replaced parts.
