The Smith & Wesson Letter reads: Your Pre-Model 19 in Caliber .357 Combat-Magnum Serial Number K264,619, Four Screw Variation, was "shipped" From the Factory on October 11, 1956 and Delivered to Jonas Arms & Air Craft Co., New York City, Ny, This revolver was shipped with a 4 inch barrel, Blue Finish, and Checkered Walnut Target Stocks. The Factory Sold 5,000 Revolvers and used up the First Block of Serial numbers (K260,001 - K265,000) set aside for it's manufacture with orders for this model which were received in the First Six months of 1956. ************** This is a First Year, ***** Four-screw Variation, ******* with the Case-Colored Hammer and Trigger. ****** It has All matching serial numbers, Pinned Barrel, Mint bore. The S&W Nicely Figured Checkered "Diamond" Grips are in mint condition. It is in 99.99% condition. *** You Don't see these Early Pre-Model 19's very often. Nor do you see them in Mint condition such as this one. *** And to have it with a " Documented S&W Letter " is seldom found as well. *** ....
