Description:
Fantastic Winchester 70 in elusive 220 Swift caliber. S/N 115*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1949. Solid bolt knob. Excellent mechanics. Beautiful shape throughout showing 98-99% original finishes. 26" stainless steel barrel with excellent bore and throat.
It is very unusual to have such high condition bluing on a Swift barrel as it is virtually impossible to convincingly "touch up" stainless steel. The metal on this gun shows virtually no wear beyond some very slight scope base tracks on top of the receiver.
Good Swifts have become nearly impossible to find lately, and this is one of the best you will ever see.
