Description:
Overall in good to fair condition but seems to function well. Serial number and features indicate a 1914 build date. Overall finish is bare in some sections along with some spotting. There is some pitting forward of the ejection port, but there is no corrosion. Markings in the metal are still quite readable. It has the break down feature indicated by the large screw head in the side of the receiver. Wood seems to have original finish, with handling marks. There are cracks on either side of the wrist just behind the receiver but appears to be stable. There was a stock mounted sight at some point in the past. Internals seem to be in good condition and clean with the bore being slightly frosty and shows some pitting. There is a new rear sight installed, the original appears to be missing the sight groove insert and is cracked. It is a good solid rifle.
