Approx. 5,000 Marlin Never Miss deringers were made in 22, 32, and 41 rimfire calibers from circa 1870 to 1881. They feature brass frames with fluted sides under the 2.5""  barrel which swings to the side for loading. This Never Miss is in 32 rimfire caliber of which approx. 2600 were made. The barrel has a fair bore with visible rifling and erosion. The barrel retains much of its blue with scattered light erosion, NEVER MISS on the top and barely visible Marlin marks on the right side. The front sight blade is missing. The serial number, 718, matches on the barrel and frame (under grips). The brass frame is very good with an even patina. The grips are fine with with no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. It will be a long time before you see another Never Miss!
