RARE FIND: a Dakota "Miller Classic" rifle in 300WM in excellent plus condition, 25" barrel with muzzle brake (appears to be a Vais brake), case colored action and grip cap, Talley 30mm scope rings, beautifully figured and checkered high grade walnut, rear swivel stud, front barrel band, and recoil pad. Buttstock is marked JK/6/2012. Jesse Kaufman ("JK") was a professional stockmaker for Dakota for over a decade before he branched out on his own stockmaking and engraving venture, Black Hills Gun Stock and Engraving LLC. Miller falling block rifles are world-renowned for their deadly and pin-point accuracy. Built around the rugged and dependable DeHaas/Miller falling breech block action, with an in-line striker, they provide an unrivalled, ultra fast lock time. The original Miller Arms of St. Onge, South Dakota merged with Dakota Arms and in 2009 the group was purchased by Remington, who subsequently declared bankrupcy in 2020. Each Dakota Miller rifle was custom built to customer's specifications. Production was very limited and continued until 2019, when they were dropped from Dakota's catalog. It is doubtful these wonderful rifles will ever be produced again. The scope, leather sling and leather butt pad cover seen in the pictures are not included in this sale, however, they may be offered to an interested buyer at an additional cost.
