Mulhouse (Mulhouse, France location of Manurhin when they manufactured the MR73, Chapuis Armes later bought rights and moved manufacturing out of Mulhouse to St-Bonnet-le-Chateau, France. Manurhin MR73 357 4 inch circa 1975 the “original” defense model issued to police in special forces like the GIGN/RAID. Rare and seldom seen in this condition. 2nd generation gun with the upgraded flat spring to hold the cylinder lever pin in place. 1st generation (piano wire spring had a tendency to break) the gun has a lanyard grip and serial number stamped on the butt, three screw plate with the top screw being beside the hammer date this gun to 1975-76. Gun was thoroughly checked out before adding these awesome one/off Trigicon night sites and amazing refinish. Accuracy, timing and lock up are spot on. The gun bore is pristine with mirror grooves and sharp lands.
Muzzle, forcing cone and recoil shield indicate light use. This is an outstanding example of the “original” legendary MR73 with a little more swag! This gun looks the way they wished it looked when it left the factory in 1975. Total of 33 weeks of time was spent waiting for this work to be completed. If you are looking for a top-tier MR73, congratulations your search is over. Karl Nill grips and the original Trauch grips are included. Gun has not been fired since restoration. This is best you will ever see a MR73 look.3-day no firing inspection from the time your FFL receives the gun, if the gun is returned for any reason other than misrepresentation there is a 10% restocking fee and you pay the shipping cost.
