This I.B.M.'s barrel date is 10-43. The carbine's serial number is 3736691. The original I.B.M. barrel rifling is in very fine condition. This carbine is all original with no rebuild or refinished parts. It has the rare "I" stock high wood that is correctly marked for I.B.M. The handguard is also correctly marked for I.B.M. It has the milled front sight with the stamped trigger housing. This carbine has seen service wear and use. There is some sign of marring of the stock and handguard. The parkerizing also shows some wear from field use. This gun has not been ubused. This gun shows honest service use! The wood has no cracks or chips. The action works correctly and locks up fine. The barrel has not been fitted for a type 3 barrel band. The rear sight is correctly coded for I.B.M. The magazine is also correctly coded for I.B.M. The sling and oiler are correct World War 2 Issue. This is a very fine as issued Rare I.B.M. carbine that certainly will please the serious collector of these carbines! I.B.M. is number 7 of 10 in rarity. They only produced 346.000 carbines or 5.7% of carbine production! Finding A complete as issued unmessed with carbine is a real find!
